Jon Jacobson is a writer and producer with extensive sports media experience and a master's degree in Multimedia/Broadcast Sports Journalism from Quinnipiac University.
As a writer and columnist for several sports blogs, he has covered the Boston Celtics and NBA since 2010. His popular article "Dear Kobe: A Letter from a Celtics Fan" went viral on Facebook after Kobe Bryant announced his retirement.
This letter was later published in two languages in Hoop Japan, a popular Japanese basketball magazine, as an original illustrated eight-page feature story for their June 2016 edition.
Jon attended Binghamton University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in English, honing his sports writing and debate skills in daily heated arguments with New York sports fans.
June 17, 2008 was one of the happiest days of Jon's life.
Paul Pierce is his favorite Celtic because of everything "The Truth" battled in Boston. But Jon typically rocks a Brian Scalabrine shirt at the TD Garden.
Check out his Graduate Capstone thesis on NBA jersey advertising, featuring exclusive interviews with ESPN's Paul Lukas and Forbes' Simon Ogus.
